Affordable Pet Sitting in the DMV & Baltimore area

A pet sitter who will love and care for your furry loved ones as if they were her own.

Who would be watching your pet?

Hi, I’m Maddie! I’m a born-and-raised Maryland girl, a published author, a psychology graduate, and a lifelong animal lover. My days are happily spent with my husband, Theo, our sweet dog, Marsha, and our cat, Vesper.

I started Marlowe's Mission Pet Care because I believe pets are what truly make a house a home. But more than that, I know that the animals in our lives are often our greatest anchors.

Mental health awareness and suicide prevention are deeply personal to me. As a survivor, I know how vital support, hope, and community are. To celebrate the gift of being here today, 10% of my proceeds in February (my personal celebration of life) and September (Suicide Prevention Month) will be donated to To Write Love on Her Arms.

Giving back is a core pillar of my business, which is why 10% of October proceeds will also be donated to BARCS in honor of Marlowe’s birthday, supporting the shelter animals who bring so much light into our world.

They say an animal is only a fraction of our lives, but to them, we are their whole life. It would be my absolute privilege and honor to give your pet the devoted, compassionate care they deserve.

Love,

Maddie :)

Meet Marlowe

In 2009, we adopted a Lab-Basset mix, Marlowe from a rescue in Virginia. On our six-hour drive home to Maryland, he rode in the backseat with me the entire way. He was so nervous and excited that he managed to eat four pig ears and firmly imprint his little talons into my legs, while barking his shrill bark the whole way. Little did he know, that was just the start of a beautiful, 12-year adventure together.

Marlowe lived a life packed with joy and resilience. He grew up wrestling his older sisters, Lucy and Millie, took endless trail runs and hikes, traveled to West Virginia to visit his Nana, and enjoyed more than his fair share of pup cups and frosty paws.

When Marlowe was four years old, he unfortunately ruptured a disc in his spine. But his spirit never wavered. Through surgery and dedicated hydrotherapy, he fought his way back and went on to live eight more incredibly happy, vibrant years.

Marlowe was, and always will be, my soul dog. He is the true heart and inspiration behind this company. When you trust me with your fur babies, I promise to care for your furry friend the exact same way I cared for Marlowe—and the same way Marlowe cared for me.
